any Banner Channel for Luminis developers?

Has anyone developed informational Banner Channels for Luminis? If so, do you have any pointers?

I'd like to create an "emergency notification settings" channel that displays a phone number and email address from Banner in a HTML form, so the user can make changes and submit them, updating their records in Banner. It would also include a link to an SSB page that lets the user give their complete communication preferences. I've attached some mockup screenshots of what this might look like.

I'm comfortable developing SSB pages, but haven't yet delved into creating any Banner channels, so I'm willing to accept any advice, local documentation or sample code you may have. Thanks!

we did something similar in our environment..

Hi,
We have emergency notification channel that gets user's cell phone info and update Banner tables. Let me know if you need more help with it. We initially did it with java and later converted to pl/sql
