PHP Population Selection

No votes yet

Population Selection through INB is a pain in the neck, the process involves moving around from INB form to INB form. A while back, Plymouth State functional offices expressed their distaste of the numerous steps and came knocking on our IT code-monkey doors for a web-base solution to ease the pain in Population Selection creation.

Well, I built the thing a few years back in PHP (PSU is a PHP institution) and end user usage and response has been great...so with the launch of BanDev.net, I figured I'd share if anyone is interested! I've updated the code to be more flexible, easier to read, and contain more comments :)

Download PHP PopSel v1.1

Features:

  • One-page creation of Population Selections
  • Ability to upload either a list of PIDMs, IDs, or Usernames
  • View titles of past Population Selections and whether or not the PopSel was processed or not.
  • Drop Population Selections (to keep the database nice and clean)

Along with the code is a README.txt file that briefly explains the configuration needed to get the tiny app up and running. Hopefully this will prove useful to a few institutions! If you have questions, concerns, suggestions, threats, etc...let me know.

This looks cool

I would love to see the code but it appears to have disappeared. Is there a new location for the code?
Thanks,
David
