JOB POSTING - Banner Student Functional User Liaison - Framingham State College

Framingham State College seeks to hire a Banner User Liaison to work with Banner Student System users in various administrative departments to assess, train and assist with the implementation, conversion, approved customizations and ongoing support of Banner administrative software.

I. SUMMARY OF FUNCTION
The User Liaison will work with Banner Student system users in various administrative departments to assess, train and assist with the implementation, conversion, approved customizations and ongoing support of Banner administrative software.

II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Consults with supervisor, systems analysts, other programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems. Trains end users on basic Banner ERP system functions necessary for department's general operation of the system. Works with users in various administrative departments to provide functional support for the Banner ERP system. Provides Banner functional support, and helps departments identify appropriate online and training solutions to assist in their functional use of Banner. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with software. Assists departments in the review of appropriate documentation, including procedure manuals, training materials, and system documentation based on the business processes as defined by the institution or functional department. Consults with supervisor and end users to gather information about software intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls. Assist end-users in the use of reporting system. Troubleshoot and resolve student system errors. Serve as a Liaison between the Student Services area and ITS. Serve as a Liaison between and Banner Student module (and related offices) and the offices supporting other Banner and non-Banner modules. Coordinates with programmers. Others duties as assigned.

III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong communications (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills with users. Hands-on experience supporting SCT Banner Student system from a functional support role required with three or more years experience. Project management skills related to managing multiple tasks, developing testing plans, and managing the work of other departmental resources.

IV. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in post-secondary educational institution. Familiarity with Workflow and Xtender Imaging Tools.
