I have a sql script installed in job submission. It is a data extract and it runs with a list of CRN's as its parameters. Except for a different list of CRN's, the same job is used for different computer labs that need extracts of users and courses. CIS is one example, MATH is another.

I have setup many proC programs and unix shells in job submission without problems. This week I was setting up a proC and I encountered an issue I never saw before.

While the proC works great when called from the unix prompt, it does not when called from job submissions.

We are going through a phase of discussions with some key people on campus to decide on the SSO to INB module in Banner. We do not have Banner fully functional yet but we are getting there. We already have a test instance running. One of the team members strongly feels that we shouldn't be going through the hastle of SSO to INB. I was just wondering what would be the percentage of us who would agree to the above statement.

I'd like to know if anyone is using Oracle Forms Developer {Forms [32 Bit] Version 9.0.4.1.0 (Production)} to customize seeded Banner Forms. If so, are you able to compile and test the Forms within the Oracle Forms Developer tool using OC4J? If anyone is doing this please share the setup issues you've run across.

I'm able to compile customized forms in Oracle Forms Developer but when I try to run the Forms from the tool I get run-time errors. It's as if the Form doesn't have access to the compiled .plx libraries.

Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone have a good solution for processing student refunds from Plus Student to Banner Finance?

We are going live with Banner Finance 7.3 on Sept 1, 2007. Banner Student isn't going live until 2009. Students will not be converted until Student goes live. Therefore, we will not have pidms for students in Finance. They will have to be treated as one time vendors.

GURAPAY requires a pidm. Dumping the data straight into the invoice tables bypasses edits on the data.

I'm trying to inactive data entry in GEAPART for a function that is defined "F" (Event Filled) in GEAFUNC from validation GTVFSTA. For some reason, I am still able to enter data in GEAPART for that function. Any suggestion? Thanks!

we did a stress test on our system and have found that when we have a high number of users:

- Under normal load it takes about 2 seconds to open a forms like SGASTDN.
Under high load this will go up to 30 seconds, when you enter the form name into the "Go To" box,
but it only takes about 5 seconds, when you select it from a menu.

- Moving from field to field within a form, like SGASTDN, is instant when using the mouse,
but using the keyboard and tabbing through the fields, there can be a delay of a few seconds.
