BDN - Banner Developer Network

I'm new to Appworx. How can I check the output of a Banner job for conditions to determine if the job ran correctly? All of our Banner modules are protected against any updates, so I can't seem to use the Output Scan feature. According to the documentation, even if I could use Output Scan, it seems to be an implied OR condition where it stops checking at the first condition it finds is true.

At summit 2008 I met a couple people who talked to me about using their own web forms and submitting the data into Banner. I never got any of their contact information (my fault).

What I am trying to do: I am wondering if anyone can start me in a direction. We have a request information form that I would like to pull out of the banner pages and make a custom web page for. Now when the user clicks submit I want that information to be loaded into banner, so the recruitment office can use the information as they usually do.

Has anybody been able to obtain a Cognos Customer Number from Sungard? I am trying to find out who to contact in order to get our number so that we can set up support accounts with Cognos. I am getting the run around and no straight answers from Sungard and Cognos doesn't have my College or Sungard listed as customers? What gives???!!

Hello All,
We at USD are going live with Banner in a phased approach with the Admissions team being the first one to go live in Sept/Oct 2007 and Registration in Mar 2008. We also bought ODS and EDW as our Data Store and Data Warehouse solution and to leverage these two products now we are looking into an effective reporting tool. We had demos of Hyperion, Arcgs and Cognos on campus.

My personal opinion on these products:

1) Hyperion - I didn't attend the presentation/demo. So i have no idea about the product.

We have just purchased StarRez to be our Student Residence Management System.

We are implementing it largely standalone, with a batch journal voucher feed to Banner Finance at a scheduled time.

We have had discussions about integrating the financial side of things more closely with Banner - feeding in every transaction from StarRez into Banner and then letting Banner Finance (and Student Accounts) take care of the payments, accounting, and such. In time, we may go there, but for now, with a launch data of April 1, we haven't had the time to figure this out.
